14 Passengers at Pramuka Island Pier Take Rapid Antibody Tests

15 of them bring negative certificates, except 14 others

As many as 14 vessel passengers took rapid antibody tests after they arrived at the Pramuka Island Main Pier, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands. They allegedly could not show a negative COVID-19 swab test certificate to the postal officers.

Panggang Island Urban Village Acting Head, Iskandar said the monitoring against the health protocol and the requirements to bring a negative certificate kept being intensified.

Thousand Islands Promotes Visit Requirements for Tourists

"Around 29 passengers from the three vessels arrived this morning. 15 of them bring negative certificates, except 14 others," he expressed, Thursday (4/22).

Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency Head, Puji Astuti explained every tourist had to bring a negative certificate as it had become the main requirement before departure.

"Except locals and employees in the islands, only need to show their ID card or letter of assignment. However, they must first take a rapid test at the arrival pier," she explained.

She added the coordination of all teams was continuously intensified to create comfort for tourists in traveling and to protect residents from exposure to the coronavirus.

"This noon we will still put up a policy information banner related to tourists having to bring a negative certificate of the antigen swab test at the departure piers," she stated.
